How to Adjust Roller Shades in Your RV: Stop and Speed Settings
In response to viewer requests, we’ve created this guide to help you adjust roller shades in your RV. Whether you want to modify the stopping point of your shades or adjust their speed, these adjustments can enhance your RV experience. This article outlines how to make these adjustments easily and effectively.
Adjustments Overview
Your roller shades feature two key adjustments:
- Stop Adjustment (Clear Wheels): This setting determines the height at which your shade stops when rolled up.
- Speed Adjustment (Black Wheels): This setting controls how quickly the shade rolls up and down.
Tools Required
No special tools are needed for these adjustments. You can perform them directly on the installed roller shade.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Stop Adjustment
- Locate the Stop Adjustment: Find the clear wheels on the shade assembly.
- Adjust the Stop Level: Turn the adjusting wheel to the right to raise the stopping point. Turn the wheel to the left to lower the stopping point.
- Test the Adjustment: Roll the shade down and then roll it back up to ensure it stops at your desired height.
Step 2: Speed Adjustment
- Locate the Speed Adjustment: Identify the black wheels on the shade assembly.
- Adjust the Speed: Turn the knob clockwise to increase the speed of the shade when rolling up. Turn the knob counterclockwise to decrease the speed.
- Test the Adjustment: Roll the shade up and down to ensure it operates at the desired speed.
Making Adjustments with the Shade Installed
You can make both adjustments without removing the shade assembly:
- For the stop adjustment, reach up to the right side of the shade assembly.
- For the speed adjustment, reach up to the left side.
