Steps to Set Up Your TPMS on an RV
Follow these straightforward steps to complete the TPMS installation for your RV and tow vehicle:
- Prepare the Monitor
- Remove the screen protector from the monitor.Turn on the monitor.
- Initial Setup
- Press and hold the SET button until the monitor beeps.Once it beeps, press the PLUS button five (5) times.Press and release the SET button.
- Building the Tire Sequence
- You’re now ready to configure the tires for both the tow vehicle and the trailer.Orientation: The bottom row represents your driver's side tires, while the top row represents your passenger side tires.Navigate between tires using the PLUS button.
- Configuring the Tow Vehicle and Trailer
- The first rectangle on the monitor represents your tow vehicle, and the rear rectangle corresponds to the trailer.Choose a tire to configure (you can select either inside or outside tires; in this demonstration, we use the inside tire).
- Reading the Tire Code
- Position the monitor close to the tire sidewall, ensuring it is 180 degrees from the valve stem.Press GO to have the monitor pick up the tire code.Once the code is captured, press SET to save and lock in the values.
- Repeat for All Tires
- Move through each tire using the PLUS button, repeating the above steps.Don’t forget to program all tires, including the spare.
- Finalizing the Setup
- After all tires are programmed, press the BACK button twice (2 times) to return to the home screen.A helpful tip: Think of the monitor like your vehicle mirrors—driver’s side tires should be on the bottom and passenger side tires on the top for easy reference during programming.
Checking Your Setup
Once the monitor is programmed, the home view will display all tires along with their corresponding temperature and pressure readings. This comprehensive view will help you monitor your RV's tire health effectively.
